Nunhead Banners, 2014

The banners are permanently hung on Nunhead lane, they were commissioned by Southwark Council as part of Nunhead Festivals. They are hand made combining different machine stitched applique techniques. Some of the shapes in the background PVC have been cut away and replaced with ripstop fabric, allowing the light to shine through giving a stained glass effect.
