Sewn Antidote is a collaborative quilt made up of 90 stitched reflections about the Covid-19 pandemic and the effects of being in isolation. It was acquired by the Victoria and Albert Museum in 2021 .

At the beginning of lockdown participants were invited to stitch a personal response to the pandemic, the main objective being to bring people together by providing a creative focus and a shared aim. Initially the project evolved on Instagram as a virtual quilt. You can view all the individual pieces and the names of the participants: https://www.instgram.co./sewnantidote/

All ninety participants sent me their circles and I stitched them onto a quilted background. The final textile documents and brings together varied responses to the shared experience of a global pandemic and of being in lockdown.
