Nakshi-Pati, British Museum, 2011

I co-ordinated the making of the Nakshi Pati as a community project. The inspiration came from a traditional Bangladeshi mat, which was given a contemporary twist as a wall hung relief on a base of reed plates. Here it is seen displayed in the main court at the British Museum.

Rickshaw fusion (2010) and The Nouka (2008)

These were shown in the British Museum and at the Mela at Regent’s Park. The rickshaw was shipped over from Bangladesh and decorated to show a fusion of cultures. Inspiration for the Nouka came from a traditional Bangladeshi boat.
